We would love to have you come and visit us on a Sunday morning. We know that it can be a little unnerving to come and be part of something new. Thus, whether you come from a church background or not– here’s an explanation of what we’re about at Helix.
We are dedicated to keeping Christ at the heart of our worship. We look to his atoning death on the cross and resurrection from the dead as the central event in Scripture– indeed, it is through trust in Christ’s sacrifice that we find hope.
At Helix, we do what Christians have done for centuries–read and proclaim the Scriptures, pray, sing scriptural songs and hymns, and partake of the Lord’s Table. We are dedicated to expository preaching, and to offering clear, practical and straight-forward personal application of the scriptures.
When Helix gathers, it is a family environment; there are a lot of children. You and your children should feel welcome. In effort to serve you and others, there is a nursery availabe for infants through toddlers during all of our services, as well as an age-appropriate children’s church for children up to fifth grade during the preaching. (We will let you know when the children are dismissed for their class.)
The parking lot to the west is reserved for senior citizens, handicapped, and visitors. There is also ample street parking all around the building. (see our map and directions page for more info)
